Responsibilities of Software Engineer Job Opening at Western Digital:
- Work in close cooperation with the FW Developers, Test Developers and Validation team to understand their problems and needs.
- Supporting users and troubleshoot problems.
- Propose and implement scalable and high-availability solutions to increase development throughput.
- Develop highly reliable and scalable solutions for build and test automation (FTMS)
- Operate the critical infrastructure for stable, around the clock operations.
- Be part of an agile scrum team and participate in the scrum ceremonies
Requirements qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- BE/BTech 2025 Graduates in Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
- Applicants with a strong academic record, including a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or higher, are preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills in area of study
- Interest in HDD, flash, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry
- Languages: Mainly C#, .Net development. C, C++, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Bash/Shell, Python a plus.
- Concepts: Domain driven design. Service-based, event driven service architecture, API functions and their development
- Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows & Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) for client and server systems
- Databases: theory & design concepts, SQL
- Security models: User authentication & Role based access control (Vault, Keycloak)
- Familiar with popular tools/libraries/frameworks
- Revision control & issue tracking utilities (SVN, git, JIRA)
- Working with & developing RESTful APIs to support tool integrations
- Familiar with an agile scrum roles and processes. Good teamplayer.
