Responsibilities of Devops Engineer Job Opening at Oracle:
- You will build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.
- To do so, you will gather user requirements, define system functionality and write code in various languages
- Develop or refine error-free code within agreed timescales using development techniques, tools, methods and languages to optimize operational efficiency.
- Evaluate changes and perform impact analysis
- Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements
- Prepare unit testing plan strategies and write test scripts to validate all new software development and enhancements.
- Dynamic and open to work on any technology
- Translate processes and enhancement specifications into programs
Required Skills:
- Ability to automate tasks using Java, Python, Perl, bash, and Selenium
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals such as VCN, Ethernet, RoCE, TCP/IP, routing, DHCP etc.
- Experience automating management of Linux based infrastructure
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud services management, monitoring, troubleshooting and debugging experience
- Experience with build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools
- Must Have experience with containerization technologies and modern tools such as Docker, Github, Jira, Swagger, Teamcity, and Bitbucket
- Experience with Virtualization Infrastructures such as KVM and Xen
- Working experience with Oracle Exadata Database Machine
