Eligibility Criteria :
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
Job Location: Chennai
Experience: 1-2 years
Skills: Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar
Salary: Upto ₹8 LPA (Expected)
Responsibilities:
- You will have exposure to a wide range of technologies and industries which Trimble operates in.
- Will be required to follow runbooks and investigate/resolve incidents and fulfill requests in a timely manner.
- Will be working closely with Cloud Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers and Service Managers to expand your knowledge and develop your technical capabilities.
- This role requires you to build a knowledge of technologies, practices, and procedures within the role.
- Being able to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing problems from which answers can be readily obtained.
- You will receive detailed instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study. A degree can generally be substituted with relevant work experience and/or a certificate/training program in addition to the guidelines listed below. Relevant fields of study include but are not limited to:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Information Technology
- Information Systems
Skills Needed For Associate DevOps Engineer Job Opening at Trimble:
- Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Awareness and appreciation of working to Service Levels
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve routine technical issues.
- Ability to follow standard practices, procedures and work instructions to execute tasks under detailed instruction and guidance.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Awareness of ITIL processes/practices
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and command-line interfaces.
Nice to Have:
- Basic understanding of software development concepts and programming languages
- (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar)
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Other:
- Travel
- Travel is typically not required for Development and Operations Engineering positions.
- Schedule
- This position requires a flexible schedule, which will include morning shifts and late night shifts on rotation.
- Management Responsibilities
- The Associate DevOps Engineer role is an individual contributor and does not manage other employees.
