Purpose of the role
- To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Preferred Skills for Java Developer Job Opening at Barclays:
- Java 8, good experience in Core Java, multi-threading processing
- RESTful API, Spring Batch, Microservices Architecture
- Messaging – JMS and Solace (Camel and routing)
- Good experience in Database queries and Unix commands
- Banking domain / Reg Reporting knowledge
- Problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communications skills.
Other Skills that will help you in the role:
- Build and Deployment tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Team-city)
- Understanding of JIRA and Confluence process
- Sound time management and organizational skills
