Job Description for Assoc Test Engineer Job Opening at ResMed:

  • Coding and Programming: Apply your coding skills (SQL, bash scripting, Python) to design and implement data processing solutions. Use SQL queries and analyze log files to test various ETL & Data pipelines.
  • Dive into the Data World: Gain exposure to data engineering concepts and explore the foundations of data warehousing. Perform Data validity, accuracy & integrity test across different components of Data platform/Data warehouse.
  • Explore diverse tools: Learn and experiment with industry-standard tools like databases (Snowflake, MySQL, Oracle), Git version control, and more.
  • Make a Real Impact: See your work contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our data pipelines, shaping strategic decision-making. Build automated data validation framework and tools to improve the Data warehouse data quality and automate the data platform services and applications.

Skills Required to be successful in this role:

  • Possesses a strong foundation in programming fundamentals and Basic understanding in at least one programming language (SQL, Python) and scripting (bash).
  • Basic understanding of building Data warehouse and Datalakes using any ETL or SQL store procedures).
  • Basic understanding of ETL(extract, Transform & Load) , data integration and Data extraction. Hands on experience on snowflake.
  • Basic understanding in automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Py Test, TestNG, or equivalent).
  • Experience with integration testing and developing test cases for RESTful APIs. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Familiarity with code coverage tools (e.g., SonarQube, SonarCloud, Xray).
  • Has excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in data engineering and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation, and communication skills.
