Basic Qualifications Required to be Successful in this Role:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor’s or MS or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with specialization in machine learning, NLP, ASR, deep learning, computer vision, data science, or related fields.
- Strong working knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python (SciPy, RPy2, etc).
- Practical machine learning experience
Preferred Skills for the Applied Scientist Intern Job opening at Amazon:
• Research experience related to machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and data science
• Published and/or presented papers at ICASSP, ICML, NIPS, KDD, CVPR, or similar top-tier conferences and events
More About the Job Role:
- Amazon internships require a full-time commitment.
- During the course of the internship, interns should not have any conflicts including but not limited to academic projects, classes, or other internships/employment.
- Any exam-related data should be shared with the hiring manager in order to plan for absence on those days.
- Furthermore, the hiring/reporting manager will communicate specific team norms regarding working hours at the start of the internship.
- Candidates who receive internship confirmation must submit a declaration so that they are available to complete the internship for the full duration, duly signed by a competent authority at their University.
- Internship commencement will be subject to the successful submission of the declaration.
