Job Description for Database Engineer Job Opening at Verizon:

• You will be responsible for the stability, reliability, performance, integrity, and security of critical database infrastructure catering to multiple complex applications serving Business and IT operations.
• Ensuring Database Availability.
• Supporting and collaborating with product developers.
• Ensuring SLA’s & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
• Strong knowledge on Day to Day Oracle DBA activities, backup and recovery, performance tuning.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Oracle Administration Certification.
• Experience in handling NoSql databases.
• Also has experience working with DevOps Tools (GIT, Jenkins, Ansible).
• Experience in handling infrastructure on different platforms like OCI, AWS etc.
