Job Description for Staff Platform Support Engineer Job Opening at Emerson:

  • Partner with customers to ensure their success through in-depth technical knowledge of NI products, platforms, and systems.
  • Act as a primary point of contact to address and resolve customer issues and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., R&D, Support) to accelerate issue resolution and ensure timely progress.
  • Respond proactively to customer technical needs and concerns, helping to maintain or expedite their development schedules.
  • Build strong customer loyalty and a reputation as a trusted technical partner.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and providing valuable technical insights.
  • Identify customer technical needs that go beyond standard support and propose premium support services.
  • Assist in upselling premium support services to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Advocate for customer needs by recommending platform and system improvements to R&D.
  • Provide valuable customer insights to the Sales team to help shape future business strategies.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Maintain a high standard of service quality while consistently meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) with a target of 90%+ in customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensure regular and consistent on-site presence at customer locations to support ongoing technical needs.
  • Achieve and continuously develop expertise in NI offerings and customer applications, staying up-to-date with evolving technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership and drive for customer success, ensuring that customer needs are prioritized and met effectively.
  • Apply technical responsibilities to demand generation, identifying opportunities that align with business goals.

Required Experience:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science required
  • Strong interpersonal communication and soft skills (preferred experience in Customer-Facing roles)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curious, motivated to learned and excited with new technologies
  • Knowledge in LabVIEW, NI TestStand and NI software and hardware is great to have but not a must
  • Required to be working in NI office and also customer’s site
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of time throughout Asia Pacific.
