Responsibilities of an Software Engineer I Job Opening at Curriculum:

• Develop software enhancements in collaboration with product owners and senior engineers.
• Develop robust software with design guidance from senior engineers accounting for seamless
• user experience at scale.
•  Operate with a continuous improvement mindset leveraging feedback loops such as code
• reviews and state-of-the-art code quality and productivity tools.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to accompany all application code.
• Contribute ideas and effort to improve the efficiency of our software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to code maintainability by addressing technical debt and defects.
• Communicate clearly and consistently to ensure seamless progress on shared team goals.
• Engage in proactive learning to improve functional as well as technical knowledge.

Required skills, qualification and capabilities:

• Bachelor’s in computer science preferred
• Experience with web application development as a co-op software engineer or intern.
• Strong communication skills.
• A strong desire for self-development demonstrated by academic or industry achievements.
• Experience with the following technologies: TypeScript (JavaScript), React, CSS
• Experience with any of the following technologies is an advantage: Node, SQL (MySQL), GraphQL (Apollo)
• Previous experience in building responsive web applications calling backend service APIs.
•  Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Familiarity with AI Coding tools such as Github Copilot or Cursor AI
