 Responsibilities of Site Reliability Developer 1 Job Opening at Oracle

• Managing deployments, upgrades, and administration of infrastructure services and other core enterprise solutions, using tools like Terraform and Shepherd, while ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
• A significant part of your role will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime, eliminate bottlenecks, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Through automation efforts, you will reduce manual work, drive long-term improvements and innovation within the team, and reduce KTLO.
• You’ll also collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams across infrastructure and operations to solve challenges and ensure continued operations and availability of our systems and services.

Qualifications

• Experience Windows Server and Linux OS
• Familiarity with and ability to query RDBMS using SQL
• Experience in shell scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth technical troubleshooting
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to work with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Skills

• BE in Information Technology, Computer Science or MCA
• Ability to work off-hours when required
• Experience with data management or inventory/deployment solutions
• Experience in relational database
• Experience In OCI or equivalent cloud technology platform
• Experience in maintaining software applications and infrastructure systems to include patching, maintenance, software installations and updates
• Experience in managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
