Responsibilities Of The Junior Tester Job Opening at Milliman:
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
- Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Assist in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts (if applicable).
- Bug Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and report bugs or issues using tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Quality Assurance Support:
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Validate fixes and ensure the system operates as expected.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of test results and provide regular updates to team leads.
- Create and maintain user guides and training documentation if needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in software testing (internships or academic projects are also considered).
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development practices is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools or bug-tracking systems is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring product quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
