Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field) — final-year graduates

Experience:Fresher / Early-career (0–2 years)

Location: Bangalore

Salary: ₹4 LPA – ₹19 LPA (As per  Glassdoor data )

Responsibilities for a Graduate Software Development Engineer at Tesco:

• Contribute as a junior individual contributor on features or components

• Write clean, testable code following team standards and practices

• Engage in Agile-based ceremonies like daily standups, retrospectives, and code reviews

• Collaborate across teams and learn through real-world implementation

• Onboard peers and contribute to team growth

Technical Skillset:

• Take a defined problem (one or more components) and implement solutions with minimal guidance

• Good domain knowledge with the ability to deliver autonomously; occasional guidance needed on DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms)

• Able to produce component-level and low-level designs with guidance

• Learn and apply technologies, techniques, and methodologies that add value to the team

• Fully participate in retrospectives and Agile ceremonies

• Prioritize effectively and deliver value by focusing on high-priority items

 Programming:

• Write and refactor code with assistance

• Follow test-driven development (TDD) with responsible positive and negative test cases

• Work with frameworks and tools to implement components

• Understand language paradigms, algorithm complexity (time, space), and code complexity (cyclomatic complexity)

• Deliver high-quality code that enables rapid delivery

 Design:

• Awareness of major design patterns (e.g., Gang of Four)

• Understand domain modeling and abstractions

• Follow DRY principles and basic code hygiene

• Implement logging and monitoring with assistance

 Development Practice:

• Understand version control systems and branching strategies

• Awareness of CI tools, feature toggling, and secure coding practices

 Infrastructure:

• Good working knowledge of at least one operating system

• Ability to script and automate in the relevant environment

• Understand OAuth/SAML and identity models
