💼 Software Engineering Intern – Bangalore ((NEW))
Alcon is hiring an Software Engineering Intern for the Bangalore location. Please read the complete information carefully and apply if you are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria :

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. -
Experience: 0 - 2 Years -
Skills: Java and object-oriented programming concepts
Responsibilities:
- Be part of an Agile/SCRUM delivery team, supporting day-to-day development activities.
- Assist senior developers in implementing technical tasks and user stories.
- Support backend development using Java and Spring Boot, python including development of REST APIs.
- Contribute to frontend development using Angular, HTML, CSS, and basic TypeScript.
- Help write and execute unit tests and assist with integration testing.
- Support debugging and defect fixing identified during development and testing phases.
- Assist with integration of eCommerce applications with backend systems and external services.
- Follow team-defined coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for assigned tasks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot through coursework or academic projects.
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Introductory experience with Python for scripting or automation is a plus.
- Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON).
- Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
- Basic awareness of SDLC, Agile methodology, and engineering best practices.
Good to Have
- Exposure to eCommerce platforms
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or cloud platforms.
Stipend: ₹3 LPA – 5 LPA (Glassdoor)
