Role and Responsibilities of a Backend Developer Job Opening at IBM:
- Experience developing, deploying, and debugging Java / J2EE applications
- Experience with micro-services using REST or GraphQL APIs
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code, including appropriate testing
- Experience with database systems including SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Proven oral/written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize under pressure
- Familiarity with one or more automation testing frameworks & CI pipeline technologies
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies including Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration,
- Familiarity with Cassandra, Mongo, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Flink, and/or Kafka.
- Understanding of Agile Development principles and practices
- Familiarity with other programming models and open standards
