Responsibilities of AI Engineering Intern Job Opening at Atlan:

• As an AI Engineering Intern, you’ll get the opportunity to work on one (or more) of these focus areas:

1. 1. AI Experimentation – Drive innovation through continuous experimentation with cutting-edge AI technologies. Build POCs, prototype novel AI applications, evaluate emerging tools and techniques, and translate research papers into working implementations that push the boundaries of what’s possible with LLMs.
   2. Conversational Search & Advanced RAG – Build and optimize production RAG pipelines that power Conversational Search and beyond. Experiment with hybrid retrieval strategies, graph RAG, multi-modal search, and advanced techniques like HyDE, query decomposition, and self-reflective RAG to continuously improve how users discover and understand data.
   3. AI-Native Developer Experience – Pioneer Atlan’s journey toward an AI-native SDLC by building specialized AI agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that transform how our engineering team works—from intelligent code generation and automated testing to context-aware debugging and documentation.
   4. Agentic Systems & Orchestration – Design and implement experimental multi-agent workflows that can autonomously handle complex tasks. Build proof-of-concepts with frameworks like CrewAI, AutoGen, and LangGraph, exploring how AI agents can collaborate to solve data governance challenges.
   5. AI Platform & Infrastructure Innovation – Develop the foundational AI platform powering both product features and internal tools. Experiment with prompt optimization techniques, build evaluation frameworks, implement observability for LLM applications, and create MCP servers that extend AI capabilities across Atlan’s ecosystem.

Requirements qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in India who can commit to full-time internship.
• Major or concentration in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• You must commit for the one-week in-person onboarding and 6 months of fully remote full-time internship.
• Demonstrate dedication to the internship.
• Show passion and drive to succeed in the tech industry (assessed via application questions and program interviews)
