Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.

Job Location: Bangalore

Experience: Student

Duration: 2 Months

Skills: Python, ML, SQL

Stipend : Upto ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 per month ( As per Glassdoor)

Responsibilities of Data Science – Intern Job Opening at Weir:

  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights.
  • Targeted capability testing of Data Platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
  • Creating and developing evaluation framework for Agentic Systems.
  • Assist in data developing frameworks for creation of reusable patterns in Generative AI product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
  • Document findings, methodologies, and code for reproducibility.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • Availability for a full-time internship for 2 months
  • Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Exposure of Generative AI is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
