Responsibilities for Software Engineer Intern Job Opening at JumpTrading :

• Develop Production-Ready Projects: Undertake projects aimed for production, following the complete development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with technologists, quantitative researchers, and traders to build and enhance platforms that drive the trading team.

• Enhance System Scalability: Contribute to improving the scalability and performance of production systems, ensuring they meet the demands of high-frequency trading environments.

• Engage in Continuous Learning: Gain exposure to a variety of challenging problems involving high-performance computing, software design, and big data.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Experience with C++ programming on Linux preferred
• Strong understanding of data structures and threading models
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment, deploying new software daily
• Passion for solving complex problems and learning to build optimal solutions from scratch, instead of simply assembling things from existing libraries
• Interest in using knowledge from several areas — such as hardware, networking, OS design — to produce extremely high-performance software
• Reliable and predictable availability
