Eligibility Criteria for Applied R&D Engineer Job Openings at Nokia:

Education: Engineering Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science
Job Location: Bangalore
Experience: Intern or M.Tech with one year internship experience in 
product development with decent java programming skills and tools.
Skills :Java, J2EE, Junit, REST, JPA/Hibernate, KAFKA,  GIT, JIRA, MySQL / MariaDB

Basic Qualifications Required to be successful in this role :

  • Engineering Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • Significant software development experience using Java, J2EE, Junit.
  • Web Services ( REST ), XML, EJB, JPA/Hibernate, KAFKA.
  • Strong experience in Dockers, Kubernetes, Helm & Microservices architecture
  • Good exposure to Relational Databases (like MySQL / MariaDB) or in BigData (Hadoop)
  • Experience on Wildfly AS, Linux OS, Shell/Perl scripting, Ansible.
  • Experience using tools – GIT, JIRA
  • Ability to participate and review Design & come up with potential pitfalls before implementation.
  • Quick learning agility and a strong acumen for delivering bug-free code.

  • Deliver outcomes for the organization through quality contributions to Development of OSS Components/products as per Software Development Process.
  • On the job with quick skill enhancement attitude with participating in new requirements implementation and low Level Design and other documentation
  • Support testers & customers in providing quick & robust fixes to issues found.
  • Reporting status of assigned tasks & identifying risks
  • Working flexibly within this environment to ensure individual and team objectives are met.

Preferred Skills:

  • small development experience on Telecom application as intern or M. tech project preferably OSS, Assurance experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodology.
  • Knowledge to CI/CD/Devops methodologies
