Job Description For Software Engineer Job Opening at Mastercard:

• Successfully deliver as part of a team on major projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications.
• Assist in a technical test role to help drive Quality and to build, implement and execute tests, automation improvements and reporting for our regression release cycle.
• Assist senior team members in expanding test automation framework and test coverage.
• Work closely with software developers on the team on assigned projects to assist in implementation tasks.
• Help make Quality an integral part of the development process.
• Be an integral part of the Agile SAFe discover and elaboration sessions.
• Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a global environment.

Skills:

• Familiarity with a variety of architectural patterns including multi-tiered web applications and high performance, high availability transaction processing systems
• Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• Possesses strong communication skills — both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaborative skills, and organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
• Knowledge of software development processes including agile processes and test-driven development
• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and can function under pressure in an independent environment.

Essential Skills required:

• Knowledge of Core Java Programming
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins)
• Understanding of Java unit testing and typical frameworks used
• Knowledge of Splunk, creating dashboards, alerts/monitors.
• Oracle & PL/SQL and advanced SQL scripting
• IDE such as JBoss Developer Studio/IntelliJ

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Distributed Computing at scale
• Knowledge of Splunk and dashboard creation
• Experience using tools such Putty, WinSCP, Toad, Postman etc.

• Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
