Automation Tester – SDET

A product based startup company is hiring Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for its organisation who as experience in writing automated scripts. This opening is for 2-8 years experience in automation testing.

 

SDET ­ I

Responsibilities:

• Writing and implementing complete and close to perfect test cases, running, and reporting on quality artifacts.
• Write, execute and fix test cases, test scripts as per specifications and interact with developers to report, troubleshoot and resolve issues. ∙
• Re-produce issues reported by customers with skills / experiences.
• Ability to understand java code / functional / technical specifications,
• Ability to analyze data and server logs.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong technical background, are detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities.
• 1-­4 years of experience in testing and Automation. ∙
• Excellent understanding of Testing life cycle, SDLC, Test Processes. ∙
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer Science fundamentals in object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C++, C# or Java Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms Skills and Experience.

SDET ­ II

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross ­functional teams, Product Managers and Developers to define the project quality goals, testing strategy, test plan and test cases.
• Review test­-design, guide other team members to improve quality, report product/solution quality, escalate if needed: be the gatekeeper for quality.
• Actively participate in debugging issues.
• Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data and server logs.
• Fluent in at least one scripting language, and the ability to read/write Java or any other oops language.
• Proficiency in Java, C++ or other Object Oriented Language.
• Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Excellent computer fundamentals, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
• Good exposure to unit/functional testing frameworks like junit/testng.
• Ability to design highly extensible and scalable Automation Frameworks.
• Mentor new joinees /junior team members on testing best practices, automation frameworks, etc.

Skills and Experience

• Strong technical background, are detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities.
• 4-­8 years of experience in testing and Automation.
• Good knowledge on Selenium and Automation Framework.
• Excellent understanding of Testing life cycle, SDLC, Test Processes.
• Working knowledge with any non-­functional automation stack like Jmeter, apache bench,etc
• Experience in testing web services and basic understanding on nosql databases.
• Ability to mentor new QA Engineers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Candidate background required (Education & Experience)
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Engineering from premier institutes preferred.
