Responsibilities for a SDE 1 Job Opening at Slice:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance and reliable iOS features using Swift.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
• Implement unit tests and contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile development processes.
• Continuously learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices in iOS development.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or master’s degree in computer science (or relevant equivalent)
• 1–2 years of experience building iOS applications using Swift/UI kit and Xcode.
• Solid understanding of core iOS concepts such as view lifecycle, app states, and memory management.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVP/VIPER/MVVM, and protocol-oriented programming.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and dependency managers like CocoaPods or SPM.
• Basic knowledge of unit testing and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Exposure to Git, agile development practices, and the App Store release process.
• Good grasp of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving fundamentals.
