Responsibilities for the Software Engineer Job Opening at New Relic:

• Assist in developing full-stack solutions with a focus primarily on Java backend and corresponding reusable React components.
• Engage in the development, and enhancement of our API catalog features
• Participate in cross-team collaboration on API gateway features
• Develop with a focus on SOLID principles and Clean Code practices, ensuring code is maintainable, scalable, and efficient.
• Work alongside senior engineers to learn and apply best practices

Requirements qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Entry-level experience in full-stack development, with proficiency in Java.
• Understanding of API operations and basic governance concepts.
• Understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with API ecosystems, including security, performance, and transport requirements.
• Passion for exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions to complex problems.

Bonus Points

• Interest in modern technologies and observability solutions.
• Experience with AI applications in software development.
