Round 1 25th January 2025, Saturday (from 10 AM to 4 PM IST)

Requirements:

The Contest is open to students (enrolled in any recognized college /university / academic institute) in India who will be graduating in the academic year 2024 with any of the B. Tech, B.E, M. Tech, M.E, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, B.S, M.Sc, M.S degrees in any specialization
TCS reserves the right to take necessary steps and seek any relevant documents to verify the eligibility of the participants mentioned above.
Additionally, the contest will be considered void if participation in the contest and/or conducting the contest is prohibited by law.

Participants:

Participants can take part in the contest only as an individual. Team/Group participation is NOT allowed.
TCS reserves the right to assess each participant’s eligibility and compliance with the rules at any point during the validity of the contest. Participants must promptly respond with any necessary evidence to verify their eligibility and/or compliance upon TCS’ request. TCS reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant and shall not be obliged to provide any explanations thereof.
There are no participation/registration/submission/contest related fees. However, expenses, if any, arising from an individual’s participation in the contest shall be borne by that individual. TCS will not sponsor or reimburse any such expenses.

Registration Process Of The TCS HackQuest Season 8:

Once the registration window is open, the participants are required to register for the contest on the Site (https://www.hackquest.tcsapps.com) with a valid TCS NextStep reference ID (CT/DT number).
- To create a valid TCS NextStep reference ID (CT/DT number), participant needs to login to the TCS NextStep (https://nextstep.tcs.com/campus/) in the ‘IT’ section (Not BPS), fill the required fields, and submit. The participant will receive a pop-up with the TCS NextStep reference ID (CT/DT number). TCS NextStep reference ID (CT/DT number) is mandatory for participating in the contest.
- Apart from the TCS NextStep reference ID (CT/DT number) generated through TCS Next Step, the participant will receive a unique credential to take part in the contest. This credential is of utmost importance and should not be shared with any other participants.
During registration, participants interested in the contest will register on the site along with the necessary profile details.

Structure of the Contest:

The contest will be conducted in two rounds. The first round (“Round 1”) is an online ‘Catch the Flag’ competition where all participants can take part and they will be shortlisted for next rounds basis qualification.
Participants shortlisted after Round 1 will move to Round 2, which will be conducted over Microsoft TEAMS/Webex and participants will have to keep their camera switched ‘ON’ during the entire period of the Round 2. This is under the company’s discretion and is subject to change according to company’s plan. The participants should be ready to attend the event physically if needed. The travel expenses will be bourne by TCS.
Final round will be conducted in person. It will be a Jury evaluation round at TCS premises. The details of which will be intimated to the qualified participants.
TCS will arrange for remote modalities of evaluating a select list of participants from Round 1. Shortlisted participants are required to stay tuned for real-time updates on Round 2, dates, format etc. Participants shall be solely responsible for keeping track of the announcements and participating accordingly.

The participant represents and warrants that:

the submission made/submitted is an original work or invention created solely by him/her;
he/she owns all rights in the submission or otherwise have right to submit the submission;
the submission does not violate any contractual obligation; and
the submission does not (i) violate any applicable laws and/or (ii) cause any form of plagiarism/infringement whether in full or in part.

The submission must not contain content:

that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, violent, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous
that promotes racism or hatred against any group or individual
that promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age
that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in the state or province or region where the submission is developed.

TCS reserves:

the right to alter the duration of contest rounds at any time, without providing any justification.
the right to reject all entries for a certain challenge statement that does not meet the judging and assessment criteria.
Moreover, it also reserves the absolute right to disqualify a participant.
TCS will be the sole authority to decide the winners of the contest and the decision of TCS will be final and binding on all the participants.

Additionally:

The submissions will be evaluated by a jury panel consisting of experts from the TCS Cybersecurity team.
Participants agree that the evaluation criteria listed above are indicative, and the jury panel will be free to use their expertise to evaluate the submissions.
Moreover, mere participation in the contest and sending/submitting the submissions do not entitle the participant to win the contest.
Therefore, the selection process may vary and shall be as per TCS’ sole discretion.
The participant or any third party shall have no right to question the process of selection.
Henceforth, TCS may determine the correctness, quality, and validity of the submissions at its sole discretion.

Prizes/Awards/Rewards Of The TCS HackQuest Season 8:

The Participant hereby agrees that mere declaration of being announced as a winner shall not entitle him/her to the prize/award/reward.
Furthermore, only upon complying with the Rules and fulfilling all conditions mentioned herein, to the satisfaction of TCS, shall the winning be validated.
Moreover, the top 10 Participants from Round 2 will be invited to attend the award ceremony and interact with TCS leadership.
Therefore, the top performing Participants who clear Round 2 may stand a chance to receive ‘Ninja or Digital’ provisional job offers subject to interview process and other selection criteria as per TCS’ sole discretion and policies in effect.
Therefore, total prizes worth up to INR 5 Lakhs are given to the top-performing participants.
Furthermore, certification of merit will be awarded to all top performing Participants.
Additionally, exceptional performers will be given a chance to work with the TCS Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence.

Round1: Online Assessment

General Instructions for all rounds of HCC Season 9:

Each team can upload only one submission, the size of which should not exceed 20 MB.
Each team needs to upload the submission for each qualified stage within the time schedule defined by Hero MotoCorp Limited.
Only the team leader of each team will be able to upload, view and change the submission before the submission deadline.
Each team has to go through the Terms & Conditions before registering for HCC Season 9.

Team Formulation Guidelines For Hero Corp Off Campus Challenge:

Students must register in a team of 3.
All members of a team can be either from the same or different institutes.
Teams can be formed across specializations
All the team members need to provide their consent to participate in the competition.
A student cannot be a part of more than one team.
Only B-School and Engineering students can participate in HCC Season 9.
There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute.
Once the registration closes, the teams won’t be able to change their team members.

Rewards:

Winners: Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) will be rolled out to all the members of the winning team
Finalists: All the members of the teams that qualify for the finals will be given a Pre Placement Interview (PPI) opportunity

Important Information:

There are different contests that the users can participate in:

1) Campus Challenge – THIS IS AN ONLINE CONTEST

There will be 3 levels in the above mentioned contest. First 2 levels will be launched simultaneously and 3rd level will be launched on the day of the Finale.
There will be 25 MCQs in Level – 1
Correct answer for each MCQ will give you 4 points
Maximum time allotted for each level is 30 minutes
A user has to answer 40% of the questions correctly to unlock the next level.
Each user will get 2 attempts per level to improve their scores. The highest scoreboth the attempts will be considered as your final score for that level.
There will be no negative marking in any of the levels.
The final level for these contests will be held online.
Winners of Campus Challenge Contest will not qualify for the Direct L2 interview.

Tie Break Logic

The user with highest marks (sum of both levels) will be ranked higher.
Point 1 being equal, the user who has taken lesser time of level 3 will be ranked higher.
Point 2 being equal, the user who has taken lesser time of level 2 will be ranked higher.
If the situation of tie-break persists even after points 1-3, the user who has taken lesser time will be ranked higher.
In case this too is equal, the user who participated in the contest at the earlier date will be ranked higher.

  - All the submissions must be submitted on the Capgemini site.
  - Participants will be able to access the problem statements once the “Participate Now” button is clicked.
  - During online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.
  - Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
  - Participants can use any tools or libraries for building their solution. There is no restriction on the tools that can be used.
  - Winners of the contest will be chosen solely on the discretion of Capgemini. Please ensure to update the participant’s profile and contact details.
- Total score will be the cumulative score of the 2 levels in each contest i.e. Level 1+Level 2 for Leaderboard.
- Scoring Logic of Level X is as follows:
  - Number of MCQs Correctly Answered x 4 = A
  - Total Number of Test Cases Answered Correctly x 10 = B
  - Total Score = A + B

Tie Break Logic for Theme contest on Leader board:

Overview:

‘HackAtom India: Build the Cosmos’ is the first Cosmos virtual hackathon for developers in India to begin their journey into the Cosmos ecosystem. Cosmos provides high-performance, flexible, and interoperable building blocks to create blockchains perfectly tailored for all types of applications from finance, computing, gaming, and more.

Submission Guidelines:

This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 5 members in your team.
You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.
The hackathon will start at Sep 04, 2020 06:00 PM IST and end at Oct 04, 2020 11:55 PM IST, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.
It’s an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.
There are 3 themes of the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of these themes.
Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.
Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. are expected to build products that relate to the Cosmos ecosystem in some way. While the use of Cosmos-SDK is encouraged, we will take submissions for categories such as development assistance tools, infrastructure, documentation translations, etc (which may not be blockchain applications in themselves, but contribute to widening the user base of Cosmos in India). For the Cosmos-SDK, There are many modular components that participants can utilize (but not limited to) such as: Ethermint, CosmWasm, IBC, non-SDK native modules. Each team may build their own modules that implement core logic of their application.
All final submissions for the hackathon must be submitted to the Cosmos India GitHub repository in the form of a pull request prior to the deadline to be considered valid. The Software and the Source Code submitted by participants of the hackathon must be published under the Apache 2.0 License (or a license compatible with it).
By participating in the hackathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of HackerEarth.

About COSMOS:

Cosmos is an ecosystem of sovereign, interoperable blockchains. Some of the key components of the Cosmos ecosystem are Tendermint, Cosmos-SDK, and IBC. Cosmos provides a highly modular framework that allows blockchain developers to easily develop application-specific blockchains that solve scalability, usability, and interoperability.

Amdocs India presents Amdocs HackFest 2020, India’s versatile coding and hackathon competition for engineering graduates.

Amdocs launched this competition in 2008. Last year around 8500 participants applied to be a part of this challenge. This is the 5^th edition of this prestigious competition. This year, top engineering colleges with over 12,000 plus students are expected to participate in the Amdocs HackFest.
