Responsibilities of an Graduate Engineer Trainee Job Opening at KONE:

Participate in product training, release updates, and technical sessions
Support sales, installation, and maintenance teams with product knowledge
Engineer solutions for modernization, component upgrades, and non-standard builds
Act as the technical point of contact between front line and supply teams
Define technical content for sales tools and ensure alignment with customer needs
Create accurate product specifications, drawings, and layouts for custom cases
Ensure compliance with local codes, safety, and KONE engineering policies
Analyze site conditions and confirm feasibility of proposed solutions
Collaborate across departments for cost estimation, material sourcing, and lifecycle planning
Provide input on product improvements and standardization

Performance Measures

Customer satisfaction
Accuracy in engineering and cost estimation
Timely delivery of technical documents and milestones
Reduction in quality issues and rework

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms
Good CAD and BIM skills
Basic knowledge of competitors’ products
Good understanding of how a product’s total costing is built up
Good understanding of local norms and regulations
