Multiple Job Openings at Tower Research capital:

 Software Engineer II (Web Full Stack)

Responsibilities:

Driving the technical architecture strategy for web based solutions in the Pricing team. The team computes price estimates for various asset classes across the firm’s trading universe which are used for various risk checks including the P&L calculations.
Working proactively with various pricing providers (in and outside the firm) and other stakeholders globally to develop data pipelines and end-to-end web solutions that consolidate and publish pricing data.
Ensuring that the architecture is robust, scalable, maintainable, and secure
Proposing and developing key performance metrics to drive design decisions, identify performance bottlenecks and monitor application stability
Designing and developing new frontend solutions for Pricing team
Leveraging and fine-tuning appropriate ETL, database, and API/Web solutions
Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users, and propose and build adequate solutions

Qualifications:

At least 2-4 years of full stack experience with building enterprise-grade web-based solutions, preferably having built such solutions from scratch
Experience in technically leading or mentoring team members is a must
Strong database knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as a good understanding of data modeling principles
Must have strong experience in building ETL pipelines using Kafka, Airflow, etc.
Strong expertise working with web services (experience in Python-based frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc. is a plus)
Strong Linux skills and ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly
Experience in data analytics tools like pandas.
Experience in client-side Javascript and web-based UI frameworks
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Software Engineer III [Contract role - 12 months]

Responsibilities:

Developing the firm’s Post Trade Platform tools – including Reference data management, Trade capture, reconciliation, P&L, Trade cost management, Surveillance, Compliance and Regulatory functions
Work closely with the global stakeholders to perform business functions efficiently. Translate business requirements into technical tasks.
Drive design, development, implementation and maintenance of projects/products.
Responsible for technological innovation in build-out of the new generation of middle office and back-office applications and processes.
Continuously look for process improvements via automation and/or better monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

5 to 8 years of relevant experience in designing and improving information systems
Good Linux system administration skills and knowledge of shell scripts
Strong Knowledge of Python, Java/JEE with messaging middleware
Solid understanding of RDBMS and familiarity with Nosql databases
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Experience in Financial services space/domain is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and develop, maintain and enhance custom developed application software and scripts to meet the requirements
Team Player in the Project Development Team. Motivate and cultivate teamwork within the Development Team to ensure the success of each development project
Conduct code review and testing
Prepare documentation e.g. Design specifications, User Acceptance Test document and participate in reviews
