Skills: Java/J2EE, JavaScript/AngularJS, Python

Skills Required for Application Engineer Job Opening at Google:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience programming in Java/J2EE and Web Services (e.g. RESTful/SOAP).
Experience implementing, configuring, customizing, and integrating third-party software solutions.
Experience in fullstack development with one or more of the following technologies: Application/Web Servers, JBoss/Tomcat, IIS-ASP.NET, JavaScript/AngularJS, Python, relational databases.
Experience participating in a full software development lifecycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
Solid understanding of information management, data modeling, system integration, development methodologies (including unit testing), and web technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy applications, integrations, and web services that support and change fundamental assumptions of how IT works.
Integrate third-party products into internal systems as well as support and upgrade implemented systems.
Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.
Build internal solutions with custom front-ends (e.g., web, mobile) and back-end services that automate business processes.
Maintain the highest levels of development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, and issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.

Qualifications:

Design, implement and support DevOps automation for On-Premise.
Automate software deployments & upgrades.
Manage code repositories
Cloud Computing Platforms: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm.
Working experience on Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, NPM, and docker registry.
Good understanding of DevOps methodologies.
Able to write scripting code: shell scripting, python
Excellent hands-on operating systems Linux/Unix/Windows
Virtualization: docker, docker-compose.
Good skills in monitoring and logging tools Prometheus, Grafana, EFK / ELK, Kibana

Preferred Skills:

Good to have experience in OCI
Fair knowledge of Spring framework Middleware: Tomcat, JBoss.
CRI-O, podman.
Terraform
Exposure to Redis Cache, ElasticSearch, Kafka
Core Java, REST API development.

Experience: 2-4 years

Job Description for Java experts:

Strong in core JAVA (1.6+) and J2EE
Good understanding and hands-on experience with spring (code, jpa)AND hibernate is mandatory.
Hands-on exp with restful web services (resteasy).
Good understanding of MySQL database.
Should have good hands on experience on writing MySQL queries.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Exposure to AngularJS, jboss wildfly, maven also a plus.
Experience working in support projects is a plus
Willing to work in shifts is necessary.
