Responsibilities of the Software Engineer Job Opening at Emerson:

• Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables as part of Scrum Team member to meet the expected schedule and timeline.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document Project Requirements.
• Take ownership and Design/Architect the feature/module adhering to best practices.
• Doing SW development & rigors unit testing to achieve the highest level of quality.
• Contributing for verification & validation on a need basis to achieve sprint goal.
• Follow best practices for Software development and using Secure development processes.
• Participating in peer reviewing of various work products.

Requirements, qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

• Bachelor’s in computers/IT with good score from reputed colleges
• Skilled in software development, preferably in both web and windows application development
• Proficient in C# and Microsoft technology stack
• Good SW design skills using OOAD and data structures
• Knowledge of Azure platforms will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities for the Graduate Trainee Engineer Job Opening at Emerson:

• Perform Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration testing of Web / Thick client / Mobile applications used in critical infrastructure
• Perform protocol fuzz Testing of industrial communication protocol
• Provide appropriate mitigation actions for the identified vulnerabilities to development team
• Work closely with development team to validate and strengthen security controls.

Requirements qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Familiar with different security pen test tools like Burp Suite, Kali Linux, DAST like App Scanner or similar other tools widely used for Penetration Test.

• Understanding of security protocols (HTTPS, HSTS, TLS, SSH).

• Strong learning agility and commitment to learn.

• Good analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.

• Proven verbal and written communications.

• Knowledge of scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python, Shell etc.) for exploit development.

• Cybersecurity training / Certification will have added advantage.

• Familiar with OWASP Top10 and IEC62443 standard

• BCA / BSC-Computer Science completed in 2024 or due to complete by June 2025 from reputed institute.

• Design/implement User Interface that meet rigorous functional safety
• Execute software development activities, including:
• Performing extensive peer reviews
• Manage code changes using version control tools.
• Creation and execution of unit and integration tests for verifying UI requirements.
• Debugging software and hardware/software integration issues
• Propose improvements to identified UI inefficiencies and deficiencies.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following basic qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication /IT & Computer/Instrumentation/ M. Sc. Electronics with a focus on programming
• Good programming skills with EDDL/C / C++.
• Prior development experience of 1 – 2 years

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. 4-20mA, HART, Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, USB, BLE etc.)
• Knowledge of any version control tool such as (GIT, SVN etc)
• Knowledge of any 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit Micro-controllers
• Knowledge of any serial communication protocols like SPI, I2C, CAN, etc
• Knowledge of writing testcases and integration testing
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary global development team
