• Learn and use new technologies.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers’ individual needs.
• Interact with leading engineers around the world.
• Partner with Amazon teams in India to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
• Leverage your extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal Amazon teams in India on how to improve our services.
• Drive customer communication during critical events.
• Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical support experience.
• Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
• Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services

Skills Required to be successful in this role 

• Requires minimum of 2+ yrs experience in Database Administration- Oracle/PostgreSQL (Installation, Configuration, Backup/Recovery, High Availability, Replication, monitoring etc.);DB performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge on Linux fundamentals; Basic knowledge on networking fundamentals

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DB Query Analyzers, query tuning/slow query optimization etc. ;Exposure to Virtualization technologies (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)
• Prior working experience with AWS – any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, Dynamo DB
• Exposure to security concepts and best practices; Understanding of IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network;Experience in managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
• Monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Key Responsibilities for IT Administrator Job Opening at Volopay

• Responsible for managing end-to-end IT operations, ensuring smooth operations, and resolving technical issues promptly
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software applications
• Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via email, IM, and in-person
• Monitor network performance, diagnosed network issues, and perform necessary troubleshooting
• Assist team in responding to external audits and technical remediation such as ISMS ISO 27001/ISO 9001 (preferred)
• Implement and administer Jump Cloud for user management, authentication, and access control, resulting in improved security and streamlined user
• Onboarding/off-boarding processes
• Collaborate with HR teams to manage ticketing tools, ensuring efficient tracking and resolution of IT-related employee requests
• Lead the laptop procurement process, liaising with vendors to source and deploy devices that met the company’s requirements
• Oversaw asset management activities, tracking hardware and software assets, conducting periodic audits, and ensuring proper documentation
• Collaborate with vendors for IT-related procurement, negotiating contracts, and maintaining effective communication to ensure optimal service delivery
• Conduct Security Awareness and training for the organization
• System Administration: assist in managing and maintaining AWS systems and infrastructure
• Monitor system health, manage user accounts, configure permissions, and troubleshoot system issues
