Responsibilities for the Assoc Software Engineer Job Opening at Goldman Sachs:

Collaborate closely with internal/external clients, vendor teams, and trading desks to support onboarding
Gather and evaluate client requirements, manage throughput and capacity
Coordinate testing cycles, manage change processes, and oversee deployments
Configure client-specific settings on trading platforms
Improve tooling, processes, and documentation for efficient and seamless onboarding

Required skills, qualification and capabilities:

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering, computer science or an equivalent.
Strong understanding of FIX Protocol, FIX certification and testing experience
Excellent communication skills, particularly with external clients
Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Good knowledge of SQL and databases
Good knowledge of connectivity, Networks and TCP/IP, Firewalls
Programming or scripting knowledge
Exposure to any of the asset classes: Equities, Futures, Options, FX.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
