Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Job Location: Nagpur
Experience: 0-1 Years
Skills: Linux, Bash or Perl or Python
Salary: Upto ₹6.5 LPA (Expected)

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to design and administer Linux based solutions for Zinnia stakeholders.
  • Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient solutions for Zinnia platforms.
  • Assist in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to the Linux existing Zinnia platforms.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours (Night Shift) support.
  • Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Provide guidance and escalated support to the Zinnia offshore Linux support team
  • Conduct root-cause analysis as needed to the Linux platforms and create improved standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guidance
  • Administer and support VMWare virtualization environments for Linux.
  • Provide support on multiple Cloud Hosted environments using Cloud Technology.

Skills Preferred for Assoc Software Engineer Job Opening at Zinnia:

  • 0 to 1 years of experience in Managing middle-tier applications on hosted servers
  • Familiar on Middleware application performance monitoring using SNMP, JMX and any other monitoring tool (IPM, Nagios).
  • Familiar on Middleware technologies – Any of Wildfly/JBOSS, Tomcat, and Apache Web Server.
  • Experience in Linux/Windows server administration in Datacenters
  • Experience in VMWare ESXi administration
  • Knowledge on handling any storage system
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities in Linux/Windows servers.
  • Basic knowledge in Bash or Perl or Python script writing
  • Basic knowledge in datacenter setup

Bonus Points:

  • Good to have working experience on enterprise-level applications/products.
  • Experience working in the insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Any certification (RHCSA, RHCE, AWS, Azure) would be advantage

Eligibility Criteria:

Roles and responsibilities:

  • As a member of development team, you will work on everything from highly available micro services, platform features, to back-end systems using the hottest techniques using Springboot, Kafka, AWS cloud services, and other open-source frameworks. You will be working in a fast-paced agile environment on daily basis contributing with other developers to design and build new features, make performance improvements, prototype solutions and build scalable services to enable exceptional customer experience.
  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
  • Build high volume and highly scalable online services
  • Have first hand experience building distributed ledger / blockchain based enterprise solution – a first in the industry
  • Excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, quick learner
  • Stay on top of rapidly growing technologies and engineering trends to continuously extend and improve our stack
  • Strong problem-solving ability and familiarity with at-least one object-oriented language
  • Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
  • Design Solutions to meet Zinnia platform requirements
  • Collaborate with team members for new development, pair programming, code reviews and design discussions
  • Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing platforms.

Skills Preferred for Software Engineer Intern Job Opening at Zinnia:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, ideally graduating between December 2024 and August 2025
  • Excellent implementation skills in an OOP language (We mostly use Java and C++)
  • Fast learner who picks up new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript
  • Ability to easily move between backend and frontend technologies
  • Openness to new technologies and creative solutions
  • Practical knowledge of data structures and algorithms with equivalent development skills to match
  • Great communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently. Advanced strategic thinking skills

Bonus Points:

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to resolve and mitigate issues quickly
  • Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Exposure to AWS or Cloud Services
  • Experience using IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.)
  • Familiarity with version control system (git, svn etc)
  • Familiarity to Functional programming (i.e., Haskell, Scala, F#)
