Preferred Qualifications For Application Engineer Intern Job Opening at Google:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to actively participate in technical discussions.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience programming in Java, C++, or Python.
Experience in systems software or algorithms as well as in SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services (RESTful, SOAP), JavaScript.
Available to work full time for a minimum of 6 months outside of university term time.

Responsibilities:

Build internal solutions, with custom front-ends (e.g., web, mobile) and back-end services that automate business processes. Maintain highest levels of development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code.
Help partners in their day-to-day challenges by delivering innovative and scalable solutions, and troubleshooting their problems. Understand operational workflows, identify and define tool needs to enable operational scaling, and drive the development (initial and ongoing) and deployment of these tools with Engineering.
Work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Integrate third-party products into internal systems as well as support and upgrade implemented systems.
Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.

Important Info:

Our Winter internships will start in January 2025 and will be 22-24 weeks in duration.
This internship is intended for students who are pursuing the final year in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or a Dual degree program in Computer Science or a related field and will graduate in 2025.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with functional teams to support analyses and modeling that prioritizes opportunities and provides insights.
Assist in designing and conducting experiments/analysis to measure impact and suggest potential product improvements.
Support the team in measuring business performance and help refine core metrics.
Contribute to data-driven storytelling, distilling complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.
Participate in analytical deep dives alongside senior team members to understand and address complex business problems.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Preferred Skills for Data Science Intern Job Opening at Coinbase:

Some experience or coursework related to data analysis, statistical modeling, or other related fields.
