• Gather and organize data from various sources to build data systems and pipelines using Big Data & cloud technologies like AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda, Spark, Redshift
• Combine raw information from different sources including but not limited to on-prem/cloud RDBMS, files & API’s based data providers
• Evaluate business requirements and objectives for a given use case implementation
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability to ensure a standardized data layer is being created on the data lake in AWS. Make use of deequ framework to create a DQ layer
• Conduct data analysis and report on results in a clear and effective manner to business analysts

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering
• Bachelor of Technology
• Entry level position / 0-1 year of experience in data engineering
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Eager learner

• Data Scientists within Ai partner with business and technology leaders across the company to deploy Operations-Research-powered solutions to support and automate business processes
• The team works closely with other teams in digital technology with complementing skills and capabilities
• The key objectives are to drive incremental revenue, reduce costs, and boost customer engagement by leveraging state-of-the-art Operations Research (OR) techniques Data Scientists contribute in developing smart and innovative solutions across many of United’s departments
• Working on projects in partnership with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement and gathering and analyzing information and data
• Delivering high quality OR solutions and maintaining proper documentation to foster seamless workflows and code-reusability principles
