Responsibilities of Associate QA Engineer

Design and develop both automated and manual test cases to validate product features.
Run automated and manual tests as needed to validate product defect fixes and functionality.
Work with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and features.
Triage test failures on a daily basis.
Contribute to QA reports and provide input on release metrics.
Contribute to and validate product documentation.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable working in Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.

Experience

1+ year of experience in testing a software.
Skilled with at least one common scripting language such as Python, Perl, or bash. Preferably Python.
GNU/Linux with hands-on experience.
General familiarity and experience with storage hardware and firmware, e.g. SAS, SATA, RAID, NVRAM, NVMe, Encryption, SSD, cluster concepts.
Experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting multiple hardware components like network interfaces, NVDIMM, Drives, Interposers etc..,
Basic knowledge of any one of the hypervisors like VMware, HyperV, RHEV.
