Responsibilities Of Multiple Job Openings at Synchrony

API Engineer 1

Build Microservices, MFE’s & API’s leveraging cloud technologies with high quality and sound design principles
Manage DevOps pipelines for Microservices, MFE’s & API’s
Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes
Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into our products
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams
Participate in Agile sprints including story writing, planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions and reviews
Participate in SAFe ceremonies
Provide on-call support
Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes

Quality Engineer I

QE Automation Engineer will have complete ownership for preparing test automation solution, designing automation frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution of the product..
Help teams in building/enhancing test automation solutions working closely with product roadmap and stories, developers, and the customer in an agile development practice
Participate in full testing life cycle, including agile ceremonies, test case identification/development, development of test automation framework, functional testing, and user acceptance testing.
Help create test estimates and plans. Represent testing team in project meetings and solution discussions
Ensure high standards of availability, scalability, and extensibility of internally developed test automation assets and frameworks
Work closely with an experienced staff comprising both Synchrony resources and/or 3rd party contractors
Communicate the status of testing status and initiatives to stakeholders and leadership
Keep abreast of emerging testing technologies and techniques while maintaining proficiency in existing technologies

Web Engineer I

Build new web solutions/platforms and enhancements, working closely with requirements analysts, testers, and the customer in an agile development practice
Responsible for the development of mission critical web applications / services
Ensure application quality and adherence to performance requirements
Responsible for documentation, code reuse, re-factoring and design patterns standards compliance
Ensure of internally developed applications are built with high standards of availability, scalability, and extensibility
Work closely with an experienced staff comprising both Synchrony resources and vendor technical engineers
Communicate the status of build projects and other initiatives to stakeholders and leadership
Keep abreast of emerging technologies while maintaining proficiency in existing technologies

Software Engineer I

Requirements For Multiple Job Openings at Synchrony

API Engineer 1

Technical Expertise in Java, Spring Projects – Spring Boot, Spring Framework, React JS, Spring Cloud, Git, Maven, REST and SOAP
Understanding of Agile application development and familiarity with tools like JIRA
Understanding how to write unit, integration and e2e tests using frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Spring Test
Understanding of continuous integration environments and using tools like Jenkins
Strong desire to develop high quality code with ability to review and leverage quality check tools like Sonar, PMD etc.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks
Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options

Quality Engineer I

Understanding of Java and Web applications
Knowledge in GUI, API/Webservices/Database automated testing
Knowledge in preparing automation framework with parallel execution (either on-prem or cloud) with various test types, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Selenium based automation and its eco-system (TestNG/Junit, Maven/Gradle, Cross-browser test etc.)

Web Engineer I

Knowledge on Java and front-end technologies including frameworks like Spring, React etc.

Software Engineer I

Experience in Case management and Business Process Management solution development using ACM
