Education: B.Tech/B.S. Or MTech/M.S. In Electronics Engineering, VLSI,
Embedded, Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Job Location: Bangalore

Experience: Fresher
Skills: Perl, Shell

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be responsible for a block of SMMU IP and understand its complete specification
  • Develop a complete test plan and strategy for block verification, build UVM based Verification environment for the block
  • Investigating and scripting new verification flows and optimizing existing ones, analysis of data from simulation runs using machine learning and data science techniques to drive efficient bug discovery and debug
  • Developing methodology and deploying within the group and having full ownership of verification closure and mentoring other members of the team.
  • Close collaboration with other Arm engineering teams leads to high-quality IP that works well in a complete system.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • An engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Use of a UNIX environment and programming in Verilog, SV, UVM, and scripting languages like Perl, shell
  • Good understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture fundamentals.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Creativity and ability to communicate ideas efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of Digital Electronics, Digital Design, VLSI design flow
  • Good knowledge and practical experience in Verilog, SV, and UVM will be a huge plus

  • Good programming skills in C/C++, Python/Perl
  • Exposure in developing testbench environment, write complex test scenrio, debugging and triaging fails
  • Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment
  • Drive verification coverage closure
  • Lead unit level verification team
  • Drive complex scenarios, participate in high level design discussions

Job Description Functional Verification Engineer Job Opening at IBM:

  • As a Microprocessor Core Functional verification engineer, you are expected to
  • understand the processor core design specifications, instruction set architecture and logic design implementation
  • Develop the verification environment and test bench
  • Develop skills in IBM Functional verification tools and apply them successfully
  • Work with design as well as other key stakeholders in resolving/debugging logic design issues and deliver a quality design

Preferred Skills:

  • Writing test plans, building random / exhaustive verification environment, functional and code coverage analysis and debug.
  • Processor architecture domain knowledge will help
  • Experience in developing analysis and data visualization tools from large set of regression results
