• Develop and test software on product creation and customer-facing projects.
• Operate in a DevOps environment, contributing to all aspects of the delivery lifecycle.
• Write and deliver code for components under the guidance of more experienced developers.
• Write automation test cases for continuous testing of the products.
• Design and influence the direction of future solutions.
• Develop an understanding of coding guidelines and best practices.
• Learn requirement analysis and design techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Must have a degree or working towards a degree at Hons level in an IT/Engineering discipline.
• Must obtain your degree by September 2025.
• Must have less than 12 months’ post graduate experience, excluding undergraduate placement/ internship experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the country without the need for a work permit / sponsorship.
• Working knowledge in any software programming language.
• Provide examples of creating a potential solution to a problem. i.e. Design Thinking or Prototyping.

Job Description for Apprentice Job Opening at SITA:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Python, Django, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
• Develop efficient and optimized APIs and microservices to support various frontend applications and external integrations.
• Implement data models, and database schemas.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability, stability, and security.

Preferred Skills:

• Incident Logging and Email Handling: Log incidents received via emails. Respond to customers (Internal and external) emails promptly, providing information and support as needed.
• Ticket Management: Responsible for opening, updating, and closing tickets in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
• Daily Reporting in Excel: Run daily reports in Excel. These reports may include metrics related to incident volume, response times, or other relevant data.
• Quality Checks: Perform basic quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
• Dashboard Maintenance: Maintain tool dashboards used by the team.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for various projects and incident   management.
• Excel and Reporting Tasks: In addition to daily reporting, handle other Excel-related tasks as required.
