Job Description for Automation Test Engineer Job Opening at Schneider:

• Test design: Creating initial test designs, test plans, and test cases
• Script writing: Writing clean, high-quality scripts to test product functionality automatically
• Automation environment: Creating automation environments for repeated tests
• Test execution: Executing test cases to validate software functionality
• Test maintenance: Enhancing and maintaining automated CI flows
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting issues in systems under test
• Test reporting: Preparing detailed test reports and logging and documenting errors in the tracking system
• Identifying software vulnerabilities through rigorous testing procedures
• Reviewing software bugs and highlighting areas of issue
• Developing ideas for software testing and the procedures to perform those tests
• Designing, installing, and testing software databases
• Crafting procedures for finalizing software systems for the market and troubleshooting software issues
• Quality assurance metrics: Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Testing tools: Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Skills Required to be successful in this role:

• Java, Selenium, Test Rail
• JIRA – Defect tracking system
• Understanding Agile processes
• Continuous Integration with CI/CD with Jenkins/GitHub Action

• Performance monitoring tools JMeter
• Functional Security testing
• Knowledge of tools for Security code scans
