Eligibility Criteria for QA Engineer Job Opening at GE:

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 
basic experience in commercial software testing

Job Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 0 - 2 years

Responsibilities:

Understand project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases
Create smoke, sanity, functional and regression tests for UI and API tests
Work with Senior QA to address queries around test requirements and priorities
Report to senior members regarding testing impediments in a timely manner
Create high-coverage test scenarios and go beyond acceptance criteria
Execute automated tests and report test results
Run CI/CD pipelines and report success/failures
Assist in test data creation manually or programmatically

Preferred Skills:

Experience in manual Web and API testing using any UI/API testing tools
Should be familiar with test management and defect management tool and process
Ability to write SQL queries
Desirable to have any OOPs-based programming knowledge or scripting language skills
Preferred to have automation testing experience for Web UI and APIs
Desirable to have experience in the deployment and testing of microservices
Should have strong analytical skills with customer centric approach toward testing

Should have knowledge/experience with Agile methodologies
Ability to analyze technical user requirements and translate them into testing tasks
