Responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on client systems, applications, and networks.
Identifying, analysing, and documenting security vulnerabilities, along with providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
Performing security audits and compliance checks to ensure client systems adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Collaborating with team members to develop and implement robust security measures.
Staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Preparing detailed reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Critically analyse the nature of malicious exploits for popular software on different OSs and devices, including Android and IoT
Release regular technical updates on K7 Blog and via conference papers, etc to demonstrate the team’s technical acumen to the outside world

Basic Qualifications Required to be successful in this role

Basic Knowledge of Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and other networking protocols.
Familiarity with Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Understanding of Cybersecurity Principles: Basic knowledge of security concepts, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Proficiency in English: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and document security issues accurately.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of networking protocols
Basic understanding of x86 assembly language and reverse engineering
Experience with Security Tools: Familiarity with tools like Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and OpenVAS.
Basic Scripting Knowledge: Ability to write simple scripts in Python or Bash.
Understanding of Web Technologies: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application security.
Understanding of mobile device security and application vulnerabilities.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and solve security-related problems.
Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members and clients.
