 Responsibilities of Sr Software Developer Job Opening at EG

  • This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and maintainable applications, with a focus on backend development using Java and Spring Boot.

Must Have Skills

  • Proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience in managing Beans and configuring properties in Spring environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring WebClient for RESTful services integration.
  • Proficiency in using Java Streams for data processing and manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring JPA and Hibernate for ORM.
  • Familiarity with Pact testing framework and Mock Services for effective API and microservice testing.
  • Deployment experience in various environments and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Good to have skillset

  • Knowledge of other integrations within Java.
  • Experience in frontend development using Angular or React.
  • Knowledge of Node.js for backend development.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Key Responsibilities for Software Engineer Job Opening at Finastra:

  • Participates in software design meetings and analyses user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Technical design, systems analysis, coding, unit and integration testing of changes to existing applications.
  • Support and Enhance Nightly Build Automations
  • Interacts with internal stakeholders to deliver various technology solutions
  • Be an active team player in an agile development environment
  • Maintenance of existing features/modules
  • Interpreting internal/external business challenges and recommending design solutions or best practices to improve products, processes, or services

Skills and Attributes You’ll Need to Be Successful: 

  • Core Java
  • Hibernate, JPA, JTA

  • Knowledge of GPP and/or Payments domain is highly preferred.
  • Java Scripts, Ajax, JSP, Servlet, Tag Library, XSLT, Angular Or  Microservice 
  • Good Analytical and Logical skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Curious and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Awareness of software engineering processes in design, code, testing etc.
  • Ability to work under less supervision
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work in a virtual environment as needed
