Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or fields

Job Location: Bangalore

Job Responsibilities of Student Technical (Intern) Job Opening at Unisys:

Uses learned processes, standards, and tools on assigned project(s).
Learns a product, tool, or technical area relying on technical staff for domain knowledge.
Participates in different phases of software development (e.g. design, implementation, support, etc.).
Works independently or as an effective team member.
Identifies and escalates issues as required.
Gains awareness of requirements in area of defined tasks.
Receives and understands projects and task estimates from senior staff members.
Under direction or guidance, executes well defined tasks of limited scope and duration such as the: a. Implements simple features
b. Writes clear and accurate documentation that supports implementation, problem analysis and/or problem resolutions
c. Sets up and maintains system software development environments
d. Executes prewritten tests
e. Writes and/or reviews test cases for clarity and accuracy
f. Implements test cases
g. Gathers information to assist in problem analysis and resolution
h. Fixes simple defects/problems in defined areas of code
Provides status (written or verbal) on work efforts as required

Requirements qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Student enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Mathematics or related discipline
Knowledge of basic software engineering concepts
Problem solving
Familiar with SDLC (software development life cycle) concepts
Familiar with one or more programming language(s)
Able to learn and apply new technologies quickly
Has a natural curiosity for technology
Able to work effectively in a team oriented environment or as an independent contributor
Good written and verbal communication skills

Job Description:

The position holder is responsible for sourcing and hiring of Delivery Executives.
The position is a middle-management role within the operations team. The role would require the candidate to perform the following tasks:
Strategy and planning: The candidate will assist the top-management in developing operations strategy for effectively scaling the sourcing requirements of the company with regards to the Delivery Executives.
Implementation: Conducting field operations in terms of BTL activities and field sourcing at different locations of the city.
People management: The candidate will be responsible for finding the right candidate and convincing them to join the company’s delivery team showcasing the benefits of working with the company to all prospective candidates. Be involved in conducting staffing drives.

Desired Candidate:

1-3 years experience (preferably in field operations roles)
Experience in managing blue collared employees such as delivery executives is a big plus
Strong communication and convincing skills and the ability to meet daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goals.
Should be comfortable working with MS excel.
Should have a personal bike.
