Job Responsibilities of Software Engineer Job Opening at GE Vernova:

• Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Writes code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Build features such as web services and queries on existing tables
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.
• Experience with the following programming languages: C++, C#
• Experience with the following database management systems: MS SQL Server
• Experience with relational database design and writing and maintaining efficient queries using SQL
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, Typescript, CSS, AngularJS
• Experience with modern tooling (Maven, Git, Jenkins)
• Experience with MS Visual Studio (or MS Visual Studio Code)
• Experience with developing client/server applications and services for MS Windows Operating Systems.
• Comfortable in building features such as web services and Queries on existing tables.
• Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
• Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile.
• Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).
• General understanding of the impacts of technology choices to the software development life cycle.

Additional Beneficial (Optional) Technical Expertise:

• Experience with the following programming languages: Python, Java
• Experience with developing and maintaining software and services for Linux
• Experience with the following database management systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
• Experience with front-end technologies such as BackboneJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS
• Experience with modern tooling (Gradle, SVN)
• Experience with database tools (JPA, Hibernate,JDBC, Spring Data)
• Experience with modern IDEs such as Eclipse

Requirements for Software Engineer Job Opening at DAZN:

• Proven experience as a JavaScript Developer, at least with 5 commercial projects.
• Professional experience in front-end development in general, good knowledge of browsers.
• Strong experience with vanilla TS/JS, HTML5/CSS and knowledge of modern UI frameworks (e.g., React).
• Experience in cross-platform development (TV/STB/gaming consoles).
• Solid understanding and love for various test techniques and frameworks: unit, integration, E2E.
• Strive for performance, stability, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Understand and use build tools, CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work without guidance in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Intermediate English. Be able to communicate and collaborate in a clear, open, and healthy way.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, ideally with any modern framework.
• Ability to deliver efficient code and analyze performance.
• Willingness to do on-device development. Not always but often, you will also have to test your code on an actual device, like a PS5.
• Experience with cloud computing services and distributed applications (preferably AWS).
• Willingness to explore per devices SDKs, either via specific documentation, per-platform debugging or communication with external partner.
• Experience with BDD and TDD.
• Good knowledge of software design patterns.
• Experience with Git.
• JavaScript or HTML5 development experience on TV’s, set top boxes, game consoles.
• Expertise with specific TV or game console SDKs: webOS, Tizen, PlayStation etc. Knowledge about STB / HWA development in general.
