Education : Bachelor or Masters degree preferred

Job Location: Pune

Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience in the Financial 
Service industry

Responsibilities:

Work with the Project Lead & Business owners to understand the requirements
Taking ownership to deliver projects by full development lifecycle of a project
Create performance-efficient JAVA/J2EEE, UI Code and should have experience with design and development
Understands deployment/entitlement strategies
There will be interaction with internal clients.
Develop and manage a communication program to ensure that the partner organizations are kept apprised of progress by conducting periodic reviews with workstream Business Leads and Key Stakeholders
Contribute to the formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of a business integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Job description:

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions with a strong focus on quality, customer experience, and scale.
This position requires a strong foundational understanding of software development and full-stack web development expertise.
The ideal candidate will have strong coding and problem-solving skills with expertise in Java, Spring boot, Angular/other front-end frameworks, and SQL.

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop and deploy software applications with high quality, performance, and scalability.
Design and develop tests and test-automation suites to meet quality and test coverage goals.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, optimization, and enhancements to existing software and platforms.
Collaborate with architects, team members, project managers, and business users to come up with innovative and elegant solutions.
Follow established processes including guidelines on code quality, documentation, and development best practices, and work with the team to come up with recommendations for continuous improvements.

Minimum requirements:

Expert level knowledge of programming in Java, with experience in developing complex software applications.
Knowledge of JavaScript and understanding of front-end web development frameworks (Angular / Stencil / other) and experience in building complex web applications.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving skills, and root cause analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
Knowledge of Software development processes and the full software development lifecycle.

Preferred skills:

Knowledge of DB design, integration, and development of complex queries in Oracle SQL.
Knowledge of standard DevOps processes and agile development methodologies.
Web services development using REST API.
